Are the scooters allowed for airlines?
Both of our scooters are equipped with powerful batteries for extended range. Unfortunately, most airlines do not accept them as they exceed the permitted battery volume capacity for air transport.
How do I charge the scooter?
The Glashow S3 is charged on-board, without the need to remove the battery. If you ride the scooter for 1-2 miles daily, charging it once per week will be sufficient. A full charge from 0% to 100% takes 8-10 hours.
What is the recommended height range for using the scooter? Are there any weight requirements?
The scooter does not have a height requirement, and it can support a maximum weight of 265 pounds.
How to push the scooter?
There are two ways to push the scooter. 1) Release the electromagnetic brake and then flip over the armrests, and you can push the scooter. 2) Turn to "walk mode", and press the throttle lever, then you can push it.
Can the volume be shut off?
The current version of the scooter does not support volume adjustments. But we'd be happy to offer a pack of volume-reduction stickers for you to try out: covering the speaker will reduce the volume by roughly 70%. The stickers and shipping will be free of charge.

Are the tires of the mobility scooter pneumatic?
Yes, the tires of both the S1 and S3 mobility scooters are pneumatic.
What materials is the mobility scooter made of?
S3: It is made of aluminum and plastic.
S1: It is made of steel.
Can I replace the mobility scooter battery myself?
Of course, we can provide you with a new mobility scooter battery and a replacement manual.
Can the scooter be loaded into a car trunk using a ramp?
Yes, it can, but it is very difficult to do so. We do not recommend it, and we also do not provide ramps.
Can the scooter be taken on Amtrak?
We suggest you contact Amtrak staff for assistance.
Does the scooter come with a lock?
Yes, but a lock is not included by default when you purchase the scooter. If you need one, please contact us at us_support@glashow.com to purchase it.
Which has more knee room, S1 or S3?
The knee room in S1 and S3 is similar.
Does the seat on the S1 lock when getting on or off?
No, the seat on the S1 needs to be manually locked.

The scooter's lithium battery allows you to travel distances of up to 25 miles. However, like any lithium battery, air temperature can impact its performance. The capacity might reduce by 30% or more during winter days, especially when temperatures are below 32°F.

Currently, only the battery of the S1 scooter can be freely removed. The battery of the S3 scooter is not removable.
